An early 20th Century Dresser/ Display Cabinet in mahogany. This dates from circa 1901-10 with a crossover from Victorian styling (the arched glazed panels and leather shelf end drops) and in to the Arts & Crafts period (the carving designs and handles). It is a very impressive piece in both weight (circa 80kgs) and size (242cm/ 8ft tall). It would clearly have adorned a very grand manor/ country house.

The condition is excellent for the age. It is totally original in its glass, shelves, leather shelf end decorations, brass ware etc. The brass ware is stamped with the crown mark (and we believe GR – George V).  You can tell the quality throughout the piece and it would be a shame to change it in any way. The carvings are intricate, of very high quality and still very sharp to the edges. This shows the quality of the craftsmanship and the fact it has not been moved, knocked and banged around etc. There are a few missing pieces of veneer to the side (none more than 1cm).

All in all a truly exceptional piece of English furniture history that needs to be shown in a fine standing to be adored for another 100+ years.
